welp, first off, if you’re reading this, then pat on the pack that you made this far and was able to hang in there this wackadoodle year!
Now that we’ve finally reached the holidays, I just wanted to share this year’s tree situation. I really just wanted some “comfort and joy”… and honestly, also something that didn’t involve too much crafty effort on my part (This boy is tirrreedddd….lol) Last year, I painted my tree red, but this year, I decided i’m not painting anything and instead splurged on just getting a new one. I’ve always wanted a pink tree, so “… I did it.” (tik tok reference IYKYK) Anyway- I also recently finished watching Full Bloom on HBOmax and The Great Flower Fight on Netflix (have you watched them?) and was super inspired to use flowers in my tree somehow.
Over the years, I’ve accumulated a ton of fake flowers that I’ve used for various client projects. At one point, I purchased these grab bag remnant bags from the floral supply store that had all the collected tips of flowers that had fallen off. They usually just sit in a bin, but I thought this was the perfect time to use them.
For decorations, I just stuck a bunch of the flower tips inside the trunk area and then dug into my archives and reused a a lot of ornaments I’ve had from years past. I ended up with what I feel is a fun pink floral fantasy. It’s the kind of sparkly magic I think we all could use a little more of as we close out the year.
Despite all the crazy that 2020 has thrown at us, I have so much to be grateful for, especially for you for following this page and my mundane shenanigans. I’m actually quite optimistic about what’s to come in 2021!
I wish you comfort and joy this holiday and thank you for your continued support both on the blog and via my socials!
