Earlier this year, Target announced they would be discontinuing a few of their older existing fashion collections (like Merona for womens and Mossimo for mens) and replacing them with new concepts. The first of these has officially launched with the Goodfellow & Co. for men.
According to Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Mark Tritton, “…We created Goodfellow & Co. with a focus on fit and quality based on feedback from our guests.” Here are a few shots from their lookbook:
My local Target actually started quietly rolling out the new collection last week, and I snapped a few shots of how the product looks in-store.
I was quite pleased with what I saw. Honestly, when it comes to fashion, we guys just don’t have as many affordable choices as the girls do, so whenever there is a new offering anywhere, I’m all for it. Goodfellow & Co. has a little something for everyone. Overall there’s a kind of J.Crew casual vibe, but there are pieces that could definitely be styled in any direction.
I really liked this bomber jacket
and this plaid shirt jacket.
But lets be real, all I really wear out here in SoCal are t-shirts, so I ended up picking up a few of their tees in some really fun colors that are perfect for Fall. If any of you are old enough to remember the TWEEDS catalog, the colors totally had TWEEDS vibes going on and that was enough to sell me. Plus they were all between $9 and $12. What’s also nice is I noticed they offer most of the styles in larger “big and tall” sizes too.
