It’s always exciting when you come across something that really stands out from the crowd. Awhile back, I was walking the many vendor aisles at Capsule,(a fashion/lifestyle industry tradeshow) and my eyes immediately were drawn to this little booth that had this display of bold, graphic, and simply packaged products. The company was called Norden Goods, and I instantly knew they were a brand to watch.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago… I had the opportunity to go down to the charming beach town of Encinitas and the guys at Norden were kind enough to let me stop by for a little studio visit!
Pete Panciera is the co-owner and creator of Norden Goods. He, along with his wife Erika started Norden just making candles in their kitchen. Those candles have now grown to a whole collection of home goods, including blankets, textiles, planters, incense, soaps, and they just recently launched dinnerware (coming soon).
Just about everything that Norden Goods makes is manufactured locally and sourced from the best materials they can find. They literally hand pour each candle right in their studio space. The ceramic containers make great planters afterwards too! (They just came out with mini versions, perfect for stocking stuffers!)
All of their ceramics are made in Encinitas as well.
Their line of liquid hand soaps are formulated with all natural coconut water and aloe for moisturizing, available in three custom blended fragrances, also made right here in California.
What I love most about their products is that they perfectly balance a sense of warmth and handmade with cool and timeless modern design. If you have anyone on your holiday list that you’re not sure on what to give, I think you can’t really go wrong with something from their collection.
Check out their entire collection here and give them a follow on Instagram to keep up with their latest.
Special thanks to Norden for the hospitality! (images by Jonathan Lo / happymundane, with additional photos courtesy of Norden)
