Nature is always a big source of inspiration for designers, and the Spring 2014 collection from Unison Home has some great examples of translating the Sea and Land in simple modern ways.
There’s a big ocean/nautical inspired theme that is kicked off by a super cute anchor print, created in collaboration with artist Cody Hudson.
They’ve mixed in coordinating stripe prints with accents of yellow and a bright orange/red.
I also love these “Gulf Sea Animals” and “Atlantic Sea Animals” prints by Banquet Atelier.
A new item to Unison is this tote bag. They teamed up with MAKR bags to make these. I think the grey+royal shapes print looks so good with color of the leather straps.
Finally another collaboration that Unison is presenting for Spring is one with artist Stephen Eichhorn. Unison took his collage called “Ariel” and translated it onto tablecloths and pillows. The original artwork was based off a collage of canyons.
I love how it looks like marble, and it works well with the marble and granite candle holders and trivets, as well as their “Perimeter” brass tray, which by the way, I MUST HAVE.
Read more about their collaboration and see the original piece that inspired the textiles on Unison’s blog here.
