Happy November! It was recently brought to my attention that there’s only a few more Saturdays before Christmas!? YIKES. Where did this year go?
Well, if you’ve been following my Instagram feed (here’s a link to a little insta-vid), you’ll have seen I’ve been doing a bit of traveling lately. I just got back from my annual fall quick trip to da Islands and now trying to catch up on things at home before heading out again next month for one last trip of the year! As always, you can keep up on my current shenanigans on Instagram and Twitter.
In the meantime, there are lots of fun things to share, so I’m going to start by bundling a few together: Here’s just a few amazing things for your mid November!
Have you picked up the November/December issue of Inside Out magazine? There’s a great editorial titled “Coast to Coast” on the home of a beach house created by David McDonald.
How lustworthy is that pool/deck area? … and I really like how the majority of the pieces in the house are neutral/black/gray/wood/white allowing for a rainbow of pop colors to shine without looking chaotic or clashing.
Check out the entire spread in the November/December 2013 issue of Inside Out magazine, available on newsstands now and on Zinio.

Our friends at RAD AND HUNGRY have recently released their Finland kit (#34) and they continue to keep blowin’ it out of the park! Just a refresher, RAD AND HUNGRY scour the globe for awesome office supplies and put them together into little packs based around each country they found them in.
The Finland kit inclues a notebook from Finish design duo Polkka Jam– some water color dics (from a Finnish company that’s been making them since 1922!) and a limited edition print. Read the whole story behind the inspiration for the kit here. Check out the other kits and goodies available on their website.
Target is rolling out their holiday collections and I had to pick up these two super cute cake stands. They’re like mini versions of those fantastic wire frame tables I blogged from their Back to School collection from this past fall. The tops are a detachable melamine tray that has a light photoreal woodgrain print on it.
I can’t seem to find them in online right now, but they were in the holiday dining collection area and were $9.99 for the Large (red) stand and $7.99 for the smaller (blue) stand. I’m thinking there’s definitely some spray paint DIY potential (maybe in pastels? gold? neon??!….)
Enjoy your weekend folks and I’ll see you next week!
