So as many of you know, my company J3 Productions, has been putting out a series of “zines” called At Your Leisure. I’m excited to finally say that we’ve completed the 4th and final issue in this series, and it’s available NOW! The original plan when we started doing them was to do 4. We just didn’t realize it would take 4 YEARS to get to that point! lol! But this project has always been a “labor of love” for us. We work on it in-between client projects, and it’s solely self funded. When we came up with the project, our printed magazines were dropping and disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past four years, we’ve been encouraged to see that there are kindred creative spirits that have arose and are pushing forward to keep magazines alive. Our intention for the zine was to pay homage to the magazines that have given us so much inspiration, and to pay that forward.
Our motto: It’s simply just a visual train of thought.
A little bit of candy to make your eyes happy.
Paying homage to the things and people that inspire us.
Highlighting individuals that “live what they love” and showcasing their creative spaces.
As with all the other issues, the running theme of issue #4 revolves around the concept of “Flow”. Issue 4 includes a sneak peek into the incredible world of artist, designer, and I’m lucky enough to call her a dear friend, Karen Kimmel. I’m sure you will obsess over her work as much as I do. There’s also two fun fashion spreads and every issue comes with a little special gift.
The zines are printed in a limited run of 500 pieces. They’re only $10 and each one is hand numbered (ooh the holidays are coming… gift idea?? 🙂 )
