I love wood grain. I owe a lot to wood grain. It’s actually the reason I started blogging in the first place. There’s just something magical about looking at that pattern of rings from a tree. If you appreciate them as well, then you’ll be excited to know there’s a new book out via Princeton Architectural Press. Titled “Woodcut“, it features the amazing work of artist Bryan Nash Gill. Gill creates large scale relief prints of cross sections of trees.
Aside from presenting an amazing compilation of Gill’s work, there’s also some cool behind-the-scenes shots of how he actually makes these prints.
It’s truly inspired and a definite must have for your library. Available here.
