Stopped by Seed People’s Market last weekend and was so happy to see that they carry Wasara eco tableware. I first saw these in a magazine (but I can’t remember which one! ugh!) and was curious how they felt in reality. Well, let me tell you, these are awesome. They are made 100% tree free renewable materials (sugar cane fiber, bamboo, and reed pulp) and totally biodegradable and compostable.
What’s really great is that they are also very ergonomically designed. They’re so minimal, and the subtle curves fit perfectly to your hand as you hold them. Your food will definitely stay in place as you mingle and schooze at your next shindig. I ended up picking up a set of the cups. The packaging is so great too. Here’s a breakdown of how it unwraps (after the jump…)
With the weather warming up, I’m definitely planning on using some of these. Modern, beautiful, functional, and eco-friendly- what’s not to love?! Available in the US through Branch Home. (Branch Home is also the US distributor, and has a ton more info on their site.) Images via Wasara, Branch Home, and Happy Mundane
