The September 2010 issue of Real Simple has a feature on “Artful Ideas for Every Room.” I really liked this idea of putting your artwork and photos in a playful flush line/row arrangement. A great idea if you have a long wall to fill. I think what makes this particular scenario work is that they varied the scale and also kept the images and frames to a simple palette (white, black, wood, etc…) and all the mat boards are the same color. Putting them flush together is a nice twist to the traditional “gallery” style composition. Have any of you done this? photo by William Abranowicz
