It’s summertime, and I’ve been doing some quick changes to freshen things up around the home for the season. Do you change your comforter/duvet during the summer? I generally store away my down comforter and bring out a lighter solid coverlet. The picture above is how my bedroom has been for awhile. However, over the weekend, I opted for a slight change… (more after the jump) Ever since I changed up my bathroom paint color, I’ve been looking for some way to integrate more blue into my mostly brown/monochromatic bedroom. Previously I had a blue throw, but this print I found (see below) felt perfect for summer. I’m usually not a print when it comes to textiles for my home, but on my last trip to IKEA, I spotted this BEATA ORKIDE duvet cover and was instantly smitten. 
I love the modern floral. It has a slight vintage hawaiiana vibe (wouldn’t it make a great shirt?), yet still masculine and contemporary.
I’m not sure my current accent pillow is working with this new print- maybe I should switch to a solid? maybe in a light tan/taupe? or…? anyone have any suggestions or seen anything that might work?
