A couple weeks ago, I went to the annual Southern California Garden Show, at South Coast Plaza. It’s something I look forward to every year. There’s always some fun garden inspiration and this time was no exception. Seems like this year, the big thing was vertical gardens…This first exhibit used a small vertical garden as outdoor artwork, and they also took advantage of some unused areas to do some succulent plantings. I enjoyed the way they staggered these plant boxes. I also liked how they planted things in rows to form wavy stripes. Another booth had this huge vertical feature wall. They also used the wavy pattern motif with the plants and formed a stunning organic mural. All the vendors seemed to be creating these vertical gardens by using pre-made panels. The booths were too crowded to find out any local availability, but I found one source here (kind of expensive though)- AT has some additional ideas. Anyone know of any other sources?
