I’m not sure what it is, but lately I’m being cosmically drawn to Australia. Seems like in all the beautiful images that I see each day via mags, blogs or Pinterest, the ones that I’m most attracted to, as I investigate further, are all ending up coming from the Aussies. Case in point the cover story of the January/February 2013 Inside Out Magazine, shot by photographer, Derek Swalwell.
The home is of artist Kirra Jamison. It’s the perfect extension of her colorful artwork, and I am seriously inspired by every aspect of it:
Love all the textures of the pillows in the living room, especially the one with the half peachy/rose/salmon diagonal. It adds a nice soft pop, but also kind of works like a neutral as it compliments almost any color.
The graphic motifs all throughout the home are another element that really spoke to me. Love the kelly green polka dot pillow against the turquoise stripes and gray!
Another awesome touch to this story is that it was styled by the talented Jason Grant. You can see more of Jason’s work here and be sure to discover more of Kirra’s colorful eye via her site and blog.
